Security (SMS)

Information security is a key aspect in the Atril platform, so it counts with a module that manages all the aspects of information security, administering the users and user groups that access the information as well as the different versions of the stored documents in the database.

This technology assures that the information is kept confidential and protected while it is shared internally or with business associates, providers, and external components, and stores the relative access information for the corresponding data protection audits.

Permissions that can be given to documents are very heterogeneous (search, copy, modify...) which allow covering all types of existing profiles from any company.

Atril Security (SMS) Characteristics

Authentication

In charge of controlling user access to the system through an identifier and password against a LDAP or an internal database.

Authorization

Indicates if a user or an application can access a resource or a determined document and that permissions are granted for those documents in function of the profile.

Counting

Records the events that take place on the content stored on the platform (documents, attributes, users, etc).

Auditing

Diagnostic information and operating statistics that the system administrators analyze from the information registered on the counting.

Atril Security (SMS) Advantages

The main advantages of the Atril Security platform are detailed below.

  • Different access levels to documents in order to adapt to all the company profiles.
  • Security implementation is much easier on a new document thanks to the permissions inheritance mechanism.
  • The administrator possesses information of any event that occurs on the system.
  • Users with authorized mobile services can access protected content, regardless if they are connected or not.
  • Facilitates the decentralized management of security, separating systems management from content management.
  • At all times, we can see the life of a document throughout the whole documental process.
